2014

Thirty-nine years! The Christmas Season arrives and our house has – finally – sold! We would be moving away in January 2015 to begin our new adventure in Nashville. But that did not mean we would not decorate as we always had. And the 2014 ornaments had some strong messages for us. Our new home would have a more elegant fireplace than our current house had. It would probably be our last chance for a white Christmas as we are heading for Middle Tennessee. Every ornament elicited a feeling of joy. Oddly, this year the Danbury Mint issues a seahorse ornament – the ancient Greeks and Romans considered the seahorse a symbol of strength and power. That was the last sign we needed to make this break from what we had known all our lives and travel into the unknown!
